The Polish Commercial Chamber of Amber associates Polish companies which design and manufacture amber objets d’art, and carry out the extraction of Baltic amber. The Polish Commercial Chamber of Amber is registered in Gdansk. The Chamber works towards promoting Gdansk and has initiated the establishment of the Gdansk Amber Museum, which is a branch of the Historical Museum of the City of Gdansk.
The Chamber of Amber gives its members certificates to confirm that they use genuine amber in trade and follow good trading practices. The certified companies are authorised to use the Chamber’s logo for promotion and advertising. The Chamber of Amber works in partnership with all the jewellers’ organisations in Poland as a member of the Polish Jewellers’ Forum.
The Chamber of Amber organises trade exhibitions and takes part in a large number of trade exhibitions both in Poland and abroad. Moreover, it works in partnership with the Polish national authorities, local authorities and with other economic entities; with non-profit, professional and scientific organisations, and with publishing companies.
