A graduate of Cracow University of Technology, a designer and a producer of jewellery since 1978. A founder member and a long-standing President of Goldsmithing Artists Association, a co-organizer and a juryman of many jewellery exhibitions and competitions, a master and a teacher of goldsmithing, an author of texts on goldsmithing, 6 individual exhibitions, he took part in more than 70 exhibitions in Poland and abroad, he was awarded eight times, he lives and works in Cracow, being the owner of “Galeria Bielak” [“Bielak Gallery”] in Cracow, works in Muzeum Miedzi [Museum of Copper] in Legnica, in Muzeum Sztuki Zlotniczej [Museum of Goldsmithery] in Kazimierz Dolny, in The Museum in Gliwice, in The Regional Museum in Sandomierz, in Muzeum Bursztynu [Amber Museum] in Gdansk, in the collection of M. Kwiatkiewicz.
In the offer of Andrzej Bielak you can find more than 1000 jewellery designs. A considerable part is inspired by Bactrian chains dating from 5th century BC. The artist often combines silver with amber, and recently with striped flint.
