From 17th to 20th October in Kiev there will be held the first international conference on the subject of amber.
Its participants will be debating in plenary sessions and specialist groups. During the plenary sessions there will be an analysis of 6 reports thematically devoted to the research of deposits and concentration of amber within the borders of Ukraine and Belarus.
The specialist groups will thematically analyze:
1. current research problems of amber geology in the perspective of deposits search on the territory of Ukraine.
2. a history of use and amber research in Ukraine and in the world, a development of processing, archeology, problems of museology. Legal regulations concerning a subject of amber output and processing.
3. qualities of amber, attempts to classify, use of amber in a production of objects, agriculture and medicine. Laboratory research of amber.
The results of conference works will be published in a complete form in the Ukrainian, English and Russian languages. 2007-10-15 |
