In lasting three weeks Ambermart Gallery 2008 competition in two Internet portals amber.com.pl and ambermart.pl there were more than 3000 votes. The biggest amount of votes had a silver necklace with amber by Amber Gems. And in this way it was chosen the best product at Ambermart 2008 fair.
 While voting, the results on amber.com.pl were open for a few days and even then the Amber Gems company was the leader although its advantage over Jacek Ostrowski, holding a second position, was not big. In total in our portal it received 829 votes out of 1404 and 287 votes were for a watch decorated with amber by Jacek Ostrowski. Amber Gems also won in a voting on the web site of Ambermart fair and the second place fell to Agata Calka who made a necklace with amber balls.
The winning product is not an ordinary necklace. Maria Zawadzka, an owner of Amber Gems, tells us about its history and the whole collection:
“First of all I would like to thank all the voting people for this double prize which for me came as a genuine surprise. This collection was being created in quite dramatic circumstances for me – facing a death of my two close friends I thought that designing had no sense anymore, I also lacked inspiration. And finally I turned to white amber which is probably the most energetic one and sends positive energy. In my opinion it provides hope that things will get better soon. All this collection – a bit sad, silver-amber – is dedicated to my deceased friend, Irena. So all the more I would like it to bring joy to women so that they would feel the energy of amber perceptible even during a chilly day.”
Amber Gems has conducted its business activity since 1989. Its offer considerably differs as it comes to designs from those which dominate on the market. Maria Zawadzka explains this fact in the following way: “I devoted myself completely to amber – I look at it a bit differently than a majority of people, I guess a little more emotionally. While designing I try to think about customer’s expectations. Generally I use only natural amber although sometimes I allow myself for a clarification process in order to obtain more interesting colour effect. Nonetheless I admit that prof. Barbara Kosmowska-Ceranowicz is right when she always emphasizes that this wholly natural amber is the most beautiful one.”
