Amber Handicraft Amber Handicraft: the National Competition for Goldsmiths and Jewellers
The competition has been organised by the Goldsmiths’ and Jewellers’ Trade Commission of the Pomeranian Craft Chamber of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and the Gdańsk International Fair Co. / MTG SA since 2003. Its goal is to present the professional skills displayed by goldsmiths and young goldsmith apprentices who specialise in traditional and contemporary goldsmith techniques, to support goldsmith vocational training and encourage professional skills development. In this way, the organisers want to advance unique design which follows the authors’ individual needs, and to promote jewellery made with amber. The competition is held in two age categories: the Junior Category (for persons who are in the process of training or beginning to train in the goldsmith profession, up to 22 years of age) and the Senior Category (for goldsmiths and amber jewellers with a master’s diploma or a journeyman certificate). ![]() |
