Amber Portal

amber.com.pl is a unique portal dedicated to all things amber. The portal’s creator and owner is the BORUNI company, part of the Mikołajczyki Amber Group, which specialises in the retail sales of top quality amber jewellery and applied art.
Our goal is to develop an international news platform on amber for both those who deal with amber professionally and laypersons interested in the topic. We put special emphasis on the content of our portal; that is why we are working together with representatives of the scientific and museum community and with industry insiders.
The portal is divided into two sections. One is a virtual lexicon dedicated to amber, while the other provides news on what’s going on in the amber industry, including market reports, reports from exhibitions, events etc.
We believe that the www.amber.com.pl portal will soon become an important tool for the promotion of amber and amber companies and will help to establish international trade relations. Neues Bernstein-Portal Unter dem Namen amber.com.pl wurde ein neues Portal zum Thema Bernstein in Polen entwickelt und ist nun online (...) Das Angebot ist als eine internationale Informationsplattform über Bernstein gedacht, die sowohl an Profis als auch an interessierte Leien adressiert ist. Sie soll der Promotion von Bernstein an sich als auch von Bernsteinfirmen dienen und internationale Geschäftskontakte ermöglichen. Großen Wert wird auf hohes, professionelles Niveau der veröffentlichten Beiträge gelegt – deeswegen wurden Fachleute zum Mitarbeit eingeladen. (...) Zur Zeit basiert amber.com.pl vorwiegend auf Informationen über Baltic Amber und die polnische Bernsteinszene, aber mit der Zeit sollen immer mehr internationale Inhalte hinzugefügt werden. New Amber Portal on the Internet A new portal, amber.com.pl, has been providing information about amber since March this year. Based in Poland, the site aims to create an international forum for experts and business people dealing in amber, as well as being of interest to laymen and fans of the golden resin that appreciate amber and its versatility. The website, which is both in Polish and English, provides information about materials, trade fairs, competitions and the international market for the amber trade. GZ ART+DESIGN 2/2007

A new web portal dedicated to amber came online (...) The portal’s aim is to facilitate the extensive promotion of Baltic amber and companies from the amber industry and to become an international news and information platform for those who deal with amber professionally and laypersons interested in the topic alike. The portal’s section with general information on amber is constantly being developed together with representatives of the scientific and museum community, and with industry insiders, in order to create a compendium of information about the gemstone. A lot of emphasis is placed on up-to-date news from the “World of Amber”. This will be provided by the portal’s correspondents in Germany, Austria, Lithuania and other countries, as well by local writers. With a view to facilitating trade contacts, the portal has introduced a virtual catalogue of amber industry manufacturers, sub-contractors and service providers. (...)
