Amber

Baltic amber (succinite) is an over 40-million-year-old fossil resin. From among other fossil resins, Baltic amber is distinguished by its age, its 3-8% amber acid content and its unique beauty. Today, almost half of the world’s Baltic amber extraction takes place in Plazhova Mine in Yantarny on the Sambian Peninsula (Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia).
