In 2013 he was accused of tax evasion in Russia. As a wanted notice was issued for him, he found shelter in Poland. Though he does not know how this story is going to end, he has decided to try to continue running his amber business here.

Amber – a Year Later

In January 2014 the producers were paralysed by the prices of raw material going through the roof, as well as by the dramatic lack of the raw material. Today the prices have fallen by half, and there is a lot of raw material on the market, though its quality is not always good enough.

The most interest at the Ambermart trade fair seemed to get... the Amber Laboratory, in which experts form the International Amber Association were conducting amber product identification. A queue of people waiting in front of the laboratory was nothing strange there...

An Amber Meeting at the Earth Museum

It was the 25th meeting of amber explorers and lovers at the Earth Museum Polish Academy of Sciences organised in order to find out about the current issues in amber research. The meetings are mostly meant to provide information, but the scope of themes they embrace is quite wide. This time it was dominated by the stories from conferences devoted to amber issues.

The Ukraine: The Bill about Amber passed
